Where the project stands

Part 3

The network is validated, the core promises work, and lauma.cloud is open for testing. What matters most now is experience from the field, and more testers.

I have been developing this since late last year. The first phase was to validate the mesh network itself. There is now data from a fairly long period, and we have a few good coverage-node designs that work. Summer and autumn have mostly gone into developing and testing the other parts.

The core promises work

Lauma.cloud was opened up in September, "publicly" in quotes. Every core promise is functional and has been under test, although at this point it is still very much an early test phase.

The biggest efforts have gone into the backend (Lauma Cloud), the collar firmware, and the Android and iOS app.

Next

The most important thing now is to gather experience from the field and iterate on every piece, so that by next season it is hopefully possible to bring this into genuinely wider use.

A few enthusiastic people have joined to test and develop. We would gladly take more: hunters with a dog, places for a node, and builders. Create an account from the top right of the front page.
